Noctua launches their NH-D12L Chromax Black CPU cooler

A high performance cooler for compact cases – Noctua launches their NH-D12L Chromax Black heatsink

Noctua has today released an all-black version of their popular NH-D12L CPU cooler, giving users of compact PC cases a great-looking all-black heatsink option. This heatsink is a dual-tower design that can fit into compact PC cases like the Lian Li O11 Dynamic and the DAN C4-SFX.

Noctua’s new heatsink is cooled using a custom round-frame NF0A12X25r PWM fan. The heatsink is effectively a compacted version of Noctua’s popular NH-D15 cooler. This heatsink can fit into many 4U enclosures, and delivers more cooling performance than many full-height 120mm fan coolers. The NH-D12L supports slim cases that were previously only compatible with Noctua’s 92mm fan-cooled heatsinks. The NH-D12L is only 145mm tall, which is 13mm shorter than Noctua’s regular 120mm fan based coolers.

With its asymmetrical fin stacks, Noctua has promised 100% RAM compatibility with their new NH-D12L CPU Chromax Black cooler. This is true for all AMD AM5/AM4 and Intel LGA1851, LGA1700, and LGA1200 motherboards.

This Chromax version of Noctua’s NH-D12L is available starting today worldwide from major PC retailers. This CPU cooler ships with a 6-year manufacturers warranty, and ships with Noctua’s NT-H1 thermal compound. Noctua has also confirmed that this heatsink will supports Intel’s upcoming LGA1851 motherboards.
