Sapphire reveals their first AM5 motherboard, the B650I NITRO+

Meet the B650I NITRO+, Sapphire’s first AMD AM5 motherboard

Most hardened PC gamers will have heard of Sapphire, knowing them as one of AMD’s premiere GPU partners. Outside of the GPU market, Sapphire isn’t well-known. The company has a large range of embedded products, and they even have cases and coolers on the market. Today, they have revealed their first AMD AM5 motherboard, the B650I NITRO+.

Simply put, Sapphire’s B650I NITRO+ looks fantastic. Unfortunately, this motherboard is unlikely to become available in Europe or America. Like their last-generation B550I motherboard, the Sapphire AM5 B650I NITRO+ will likely be an Asia-only product.

Based on the motherboard’s webpage, the B650I NITRO+ will feature an 8-layer PCB with an 8-phase digital power design. Furthermore, the board will support DDR5-6000+ memory speeds, two PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe SSDs, and WiFi 6 networking capabilities.

The B650I NITRO+ motherboard from Sapphire, like all AM5 motherboards, will support AMD’s Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 8000 series CPUs. It should also support AMD’s upcoming Zen 5 Ryzen 9000 series processors thanks to future BIOS updates.

Sadly, we do not know the pricing of Sapphire’s new B650I NITRO+ AM5 motherboard, or of the company plans to release any other AM5 motherboards.
