Dragon’s Dogma 2 receives a new title update

A large update has just landed for Dragon’s Dogma 2

Capcom has released a major title update for Dragon’s Dogma 2 on PC and console versions. This patch is now available to download on Steam and other platforms, bring with it changes to the game’s Pawns and controversial Dragonsplague mechanic.

Starting with Dragonsplague, Capcom has noted that infections frequency has been decreased and infection is now more noticeable on affected NPCs. IE, infected Pawns will have more noticeable glowing eye effects.

Various fixes have also been made to improve Pawn behaviour and dialogue. Now, Pawns will be less likely to fall of cliffs. With this update Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be less likely to crash or freeze under “specific circumstances”.

Sadly, this new update delivers now performance improvements for the game on PC and consoles. Our testing has confirmed this. Above all, game performance is one of the biggest problems that face Dragon’s Dogma 2 players on PC. There’s a reason why we have called this game’s performance profile a “mess“.

On PC, many gamers are expecting CPU-focused performance optimisations, and support for both DLSS and FidelityFX Super Resolution based Frame Generation. These are highly sought after features on PC, especially given how CPU-limited this game can be.
