Ray tracing will impact Splinter Cell Remake’s gameplay – Leaker suggests
Ray Tracing will be a gameplay feature in Splinter Cell’s upcoming Remake
Ubisoft are working on a Splinter Cell Remake, a new from-the-ground-up reimagining of the 2002 classic. Based on a new leak from Visceral, it looks like the game will feature an exciting implementation of ray traced reflections. Using raytraced audio and reflections, enemies will reportedly be able to detect players. This means that ray tracing will have gameplay implications.
If this report is true, Splinter Cell’s upcoming remake could be one of the most advanced stealth-action games ever made. We already know that the upcoming remake will utilise Ubisoft’s Snowdrop Engine. This engine already makes excellent use of ray tracing. We can see this in games like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Splinter Cell should take this to another level by using ray tracing to impact gameplay.
It will have some pretty cool features like enemies being able to detect you based on raytraced reflections, raytraced audio etc.ð https://t.co/Xsyy67cd9u
