Zotac Zbox Plus ID45 Review

Resident Evil 5 DX10

We've been using the Resident Evil 5 fixed benchmark for a while now and so it only made sense to include it in these testings. We used Medium settings at 1080p and took the results for both 0xAA and 8xAA.

There do seem to be larger leaps between 0xAA and 8xAA than we've seen in any other test. However, the ID45 is still a long way ahead of the processors in this test, and the i3 is stuck down at unplayable levels.

Resident Evil 6

Resident Evil 6's benchmark utility is DX9 only, which is strange when its predecessor has DX10 support. We ran the benchmark with the Medium preset over 1080p and 720p.

Here, AA seems to make next to no difference at all to the results. The ID45 still puts out around a 30% better score in this DX9 test than the 6800K.

Like the idea of one of these maybe as a steam streaming box by the tv. Having said that i don't think they look that great. The Gigabyte Brix pro and Brix gaming are more up my street visually. Hope you guys get to test one of them against one of these.Quote
