Up Close - The GE62

The GE62 itself continues the desert digital camouflage theme, with the top of the laptop covered in the same pattern as the rucksack and box. It does, curiously, fade into black when you get further down the display and the underside is just plain black. It's odd that MSI haven't committed fully to the theme. Lifting up the display you can see that the keyboard and trackpad also have the digital camouflage covering all the surfaces. Unfortunately - or fortunately depending upon how you feel about this design - the screen bezel is plain black. It's like MSI wanted to go all in with the Camo Squad theme and then bottled it at the last. Connectivity is in keeping with the options we normally see in this MSI chassis, with an optical drive and memory card reader on the right alongside the charging port whilst the left hand side has two USB 3.0 ports, a USB 3.1 Type C, audio jacks, display outputs and a RJ45.

Hmmmm... 12 year old me would love it. Now if it was urban or winter I'd still love it now. Just wouldn't be seen in public with it.

At least they're up for making stuff like that. How many iClones and none more black laptops can there be? It's like the days of the beige boxes all over again so it's good to see a point of difference. Even if it's not to many peoples tastes.Quote

Had a quick read of the conclusion and LOLed. Mostly because my first thought was "Man, if you rocked up at Costa Coffee with one of these people would think you were a terrorist" and then I see you mention a certain terrorist group in the comments.

Will read it more in depth later when I get home.Quote
