Anvil MB/s

If you prefer your speed in something more obviously quantifiable then the Anvil MB/s test is the one for you, and comfortably the clearest indication of the performance available from the Samsung 980. It's 1GB/s faster than any of the PCI Express 4.0 drives we've ever tested. Stupidly quick.

Have been waiting for these for a while now but I'll hold out longer for the 2TB model and get 2 while im at it. Would have been interesting to test 2 of them on your X570, would there be a bottleneck there I wonder between the CPU driven m.2 port and the X570 driven m.2 port?
Still you should be touching 10GB/s happy days.Quote

It's kinda crazy that we are this close to saturating PCIe 4.0 already.Quote

Both thechnology and need existed. They just waited for AMD and Intel to make transition to Gen 4.Quote

Right? man this SSD is barbaric lol.

Thanks for the review. I might just have to invest in some of these soon. Just waiting on whether it will make a difference to games first.Quote
