Samsung 980 Pro 1TB Review

Anvil IOPS

Input/Output Operations Per Second are a popular way of showing off the potential of your drive, and how capable it is to do many tasks at once without stalling out. You only need to open your task manager to see how many background processes are reading and writing data to appreciate it isn't just about the app you're running, but a few RGB and peripheral apps can quickly sup all your drives potential. No such issues here of course.

Have been waiting for these for a while now but I'll hold out longer for the 2TB model and get 2 while im at it. Would have been interesting to test 2 of them on your X570, would there be a bottleneck there I wonder between the CPU driven m.2 port and the X570 driven m.2 port?
Still you should be touching 10GB/s happy days.Quote

It's kinda crazy that we are this close to saturating PCIe 4.0 already.Quote

Both thechnology and need existed. They just waited for AMD and Intel to make transition to Gen 4.Quote

Right? man this SSD is barbaric lol.

Thanks for the review. I might just have to invest in some of these soon. Just waiting on whether it will make a difference to games first.Quote
