The likelihood of people still using a HDD to boot their system is small, but utilising one as a data drive is far more likely and the results with the Optane Memory installed show how your gaming load times are absolutely transformed. Who would have thought that a HDD with a fifty quid cache drive would be as fast as a seriously expensive option such as the 905P once you have populated the Optane Memory 32GB.

what percentage of the market has the latest intel motherboards... sounds a lot more expensive than £53 for everybody else if it requires a complete system upgrade.Quote

For that money you can get a 256GB SSD. For a few bucks more you can get a NVMe PCI x2 drive too.Quote
