1080p Performance - Benchmark Results

At 1080p it's pretty clear that Jedi: Fallen Order is a CPU-limited game. While the RTX 2080 Ti still leads the pack, it is worth noting that everything from the RTX 2060 to the RX Vega 56 provides the exact same gameplay experience in Kashyyyk.

While a faster processor than our 4GHz i7-6800K would help us achieve higher performance levels, it is worth remembering that Sony's PlayStation 4 uses a 1.6GHz AMD Jaguar processor. With modern PC processors offering higher clock speeds and IPC, this level of CPU performance shouldn't be a concern for PC gamers. This makes CPU performance one of the biggest problems that face PC gamers in Jedi: Fallen Order.

At high settings and with resolution scaling, both the GTX 1060 and RX 580 are capable of 1080p (ish), 60FPS gameplay, negating CPU related performance drops and Fallen Order's annoying stutters.

Thankfully, not all planets are as demanding as Kashyyyk, with Zeffo offering enough CPU headroom for our graphics cards to differentiate themselves. Even so, our RTX 2080 Ti isn't able to come close to full utilisation.

Hopefully the game will be optimised soon.

Once it is I'll be looking forward to playing it.Quote

Cheers Mark. Right now I'd probably get it on 1X, but we'll see if they sort out the PC version first.Quote

Theres a good few annoying bugs so far on pc, but i knocked it a little too soon. Gfx are optimised well and no i unlocked some force abilities its quite fun.

Its got that darksiders feel to it, where you have to revisit locations to get special things but its not bad. the cosmetic side is a little pointless being a single player game though. I wish the lightsaber modifications had an impact on the dmg you do unless im getting it wrong there. To me its just cosmetic changesQuote

I'm playing it on a GTX 1050 laptop 1080p medium settings so far no hickups with a Ryzen 3550h, game seems plenty optimized to me.Quote
