Spyro Reignited Trilogy PC Performance Analysis

PC Performance Scaling - Low, Medium, High and Ultra

As far as performance goes, Spyro's Reignited Trilogy's Ultra and High settings deliver very similar performance numbers. This explains why both presets looked so similar on page 3.

Medium is where we see a significant boost to game performance, granting the game enough of a boost to get our GTX 1060 to play the game at 1440p 60+ FPS. Not bad for a sub-£200 graphics card.

Moving to low yields a huge performance boost within the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, but it comes at a cost that's too high for most PC gamers to consider. These settings are only for those who want to try running this game on processors with integrated graphics solutions.

I was in school when the original series came out. Probably one of my favorite platformers of all time.

Playing this I'm having a serious case of nostalgia, even down to the soundtrack. Quote

This was only really for people who didn't buy a N64.

After having played Mario 64, DK64 and the Banjo games this seemed kinda, well, crap.

Platformers was not the PS's strong point.Quote

Speak for yourself! Spyro was a staple of our household back in the late days of school for me.

I've given a few hours on it now and I'm enjoying it thus far. It runs great too, my monitor is maxed at 144FPS pretty much all the time at 1440p. I haven't tried it with VSync off yet though.

Thanks for the work on the benchmarks too, always good to get some idea of how games run before pulling the trigger on them - Not many sites do them.Quote
