Sniper Elite 4 Performance Review

1440p Performance

Below we have tested each of these GPUs in both DirectX 11 modes and DirectX 12, with GCN, Pascal and Ploris GPUs running with Async Compute turned on for maximum performance. Alternatively, Nvidia Maxwell powered GPUs are run in DirectX 12 mode without Async Compute for optimal performance.

We can see here that Nvidia's GPUs only see a minor performance increase when using DirectX 12, while AMD's hardware achieves significant performance benefits from the new API. here we see the R9 Fury X overtake the GTX 980Ti and offer very similar performance to the GTX 1070.

Below the only GPU that offers a steady 60+FPS is the GTX 1080, though most GPUs on this list can achieve an almost constant 60+FPS when using slightly reduced graphical settings.

Great info dump. I'd be interested to see a set of results with the CPU massively downclocked with all setting levels in both DX11 and DX12 versus stock clocks.Quote

Pascal still being picky with Async I see. Better then worse half the time. I think going from dx11 to 12 without Async, those tiny performance gains probably come from only the CPU, even with Async again half the time it's like that too. Although it is rather interesting to see that you get the best improvements at lower resolution and you get less and less in return as you crank up the settings.Quote

Another good showing from the Fury X. The HBM is proudly displaying its wings with the higher resolutions. Vega and future HBM-equipped GPU's by Nvidia and AMD will be excellent for higher resolutions.Quote

Sorry to necro this one but I cannot find the benchmark anywhere in this game and was wondering if it was a separate bit of software.Quote

If I remember correctly this game has no built-in benchmark. You may be thinking of Sniper Elite 3, as it had one built-in.

I distinctly remember benchmarking gameplay for this one.Quote
