1440p Performance - Benchmark Results

Cranking RAGE 2 up to 1440p leaves us in a position where only our RTX 2080 Ti maintains a 60+ FPS framerate at all times. Even so, we can be sure that AMD's Radeon VII and Nvidia's GTX 1080 Ti and RTX 2080 can achieve the same feat.

With the RX Vega 56 and RTX 2060, a bit of variable resolution scaling will allow RAGE 2 to run at over 60FPS consistently with a minor decrease in graphical quality while lower-end graphics cards will require larger changes to graphics settings.

While AMD's RX 580 remains at over 30FPS, Nvidia's GTX 1060 dips slightly below this target, again showing how much RAGE 2 loves Radeon hardware. Even so, both of these GPUs would require sub-1080p game resolutions to maintain 60+ FPS framerates at all times. These two card's aren't good enough to achieve the 1440p 60+ FPS dream in RAGE 2.

The 4K numbers are surprising for the Vega 56 and 2080 Ti especially considering with prices right now the 2080 Ti is exactly 4 x times the price of a Vega 56 yet doesn't REALLY give worlds better performance at 1440P and 4K.Quote

I'm surprised this doesn't support SLI, but it runs nice enough that I'm not complaining.Quote

I'm not. Wolfenstein didn't either.

The original RAGE did, heck it even supported quad SLi but IIRC that was pure Carmack.Quote

If this is Vulkan only then that would explain why it doesn't support SLI. They'd need a custom mGPU solution and afaik there are no existing libraries out their for a dev to easily replicate AFR on Vulkan atm.Quote

Runs like a dream on my 4790K and 1080Ti I'm seeing 120fps on average with Ultra settings, only thing I have to complain about are the audio glitches in cut scenes where sometimes there is no audio at all and the lack of co-op play.Quote
