Quake Champions Early Access Performance Review

1440p Performance

Moving up to 1440p we can see that average framerates of over 60FPS are still exceptionally easy to achieve, with out GTX 1080 Founders Edition achieving minimum framerates of 95, which means that even high refresh rate gamers will have an easy time with Quake Champions.

Again at 1440p there is very little to complain about here, as those that want even higher framerates should be able to easily achieve them with only a minimal visual downgrade.

Holy crap those sliders are fudging *sweet*. Brilliant !!

Is this running DX or Vulkan? I sat staring at the pics but couldn't see anything. Either way it seems to run like crap from the proverbial digging instrument so cool beans.Quote

The game uses DirectX as far as I can tell. Bethesda did say that a Vulkan version was coming, but that was a long time ago and plans may have changed.Quote

Pretty interesting analysis. The way I see it though, based on those screenshot comparisons, running it on low makes it easier to see things. Especially if you put textures on low and whatever setting controls the lighting quality. But on ultra it just looks so sweet and it's so easy to run.Quote
