Even at 1080p, it is clear that Horizon Zero Dawn is an incredibly demanding game on PC. That said, this performance data was recorded using the game's highest graphical settings.
At 1080p Original (PS4-grade) settings, Nvidia's GTX 1060 and AMD's RX 580 achieve average framerates of almost 60FPS, providing gamers with a fairly smooth framerate. Combine this with a VRR (variable refresh rate) compatible monitor and you will have a smooth 1080 experience.
For 1080p maxed out settings, average framerates of over 60 FPS are possible with AMD's RX 5700 and Nvidia's RTX 2060 Super (the RTX 2060 barely misses this target). That said, 1080p gamers shouldn't be using such needlessly demanding settings. Look at page 5/6 and OC3D's optimised settings, those settings will make 1080p 60+ average framerates possible on Nvidia's GTX 1070 and AMD's RX Vega 56.
