1080p Performance - Benchmark Results
For our graphics card tests, we benchmarked the game using a section from Hitman 2's "Another Life" level, as it does not suffer from heavy CPU-based limitations and offers some of the highest GPU loads that the game can offer. That being said, there are specific scenarios in other levels that can tax GPUs more, though these scenes require specific camera locations and are mostly due to Hitman 2's reflections system (which is forced to 100% resolution on PC).
Here we can again see that Hitman 2 has a clear preference for Nvidia hardware, with the Nvidia GTX 1060 offering performance levels that are more similar to the RX Vega 56 than they are to the RX 580 that it typically competes against.
At Ultra settings we can see that Hitman 2 is extremely demanding, with only our GTX 1080 Founders Edition offering steady 60+ FPS framerates in this scene. Other areas of the game will perform much better, but as we said before, other scenes can be more taxing on GPUs, while others will force lower framerates due to CPU-related factors.
