4K Performance - Benchmark Results

At 4K we finally see the two things, first, that a stable 4K 30FPS gameplay experience can be offered by AMD's RX 580 and Nvidia's GTX 1060, and secondly, that graphics cards like the RX Vega 56 and GTX 1070/1080 are unable to provide a steady 60+ FPS experience at all times.

Both the RX Vega 56 and Nvidia GTX 1080 can offer a stable 4K 60+ FPS experience using Forza Horizon 4's High preset, with the GTX 1070 requiring more drastic settings changes to deliver a steady 60+ FPS framerate at 4K.

AMD's RX Vega 64 may be able to offer 4K 60FPS gameplay, or close to it at Ultra settings, though judging from the performance shown here it is probable that only Nvidia's GTX 1080 Ti can offer stable 4K 60+FPS framerate at all times in Forza Horizon 4's demo version. A few higher graphical settings are available within Forza Horizon 4, such as the option to add higher levels of MSAA to the title, giving PC gamers more ways to improve the visuals offered in the game.

Well without even seeing the article (it's not loaded yet) I couldn't play it, it simply crashed every other race and the input lag was atrocious.

Very pretty as I've said before but needs work before launch.Quote

Yeah, there's a lot of problems being reported on the Forza forums.

I managed to get it running really nicely on my rig. Turned out the problem was a slightly unstable memory overclock. Got that dialled in properly and it's running at max settings, 2160p60 on my Vega 56 rock solid. Pretty impressive actually.

Just wish more people could get that experience without the bugs they're experiencing. I think I got really lucky and had the golden goose setup that actually works.Quote
