For Honor PC performance Review

VRAM Usage

For Honor uses surprisingly little VRAM, with even the game's 4K Extreme settings failing to use over 4GB of GPU memory. This means that even older GPUs like the AMD R9 Fury X will present no issues when playing this game at Extreme settings at 4K and will give older 2GB GPUs enough VRAM to run the game at 1080p Extreme settings.

Players of For Honor should not run into any VRAM related issues in-game, making this game limited mostly by CPU/GPU horsepower. In the future, Ubisoft might release a high-resolution texture pack like other recent titles, though right now there is need for a frame buffer of over 4GB in this title.

Not surprised the campaign is more demanding. There's a lot more going on and the maps are much bigger.
Interesting to see that the 480 and 1060 are basically equal at 1440p. Seems they did a good job optimizing this game for both parties (given the Ubisoft history of performing better on Nvidia)Quote

Not bad! I'm not that stricken by the concept of the game, but I might give it a whirl some time.

Thanks for the work as always.Quote
