Dishonored 2 PC Performance Preview

Dishonored was a surprise success of 2013, shattering expectations by supplying gamers with both fantastic stealth gameplay while also allowing for players to go on a murderous rampage if they built their character correctly.
Today Dishonored 2 releases on PC, Xbox One and PS4 and with it comes the start of Bethesda's new review policy, where critics were unable to test, or play the game until one day before launch. At OC3D we do not receive review copies for the vast majority of games, leaving us to test all games on the same day as the public, with release ready drivers, allowing our data to be accurate for retail copies of the game.
Bethesda's recent change in review policy should be looked at with the utmost suspicion, as this decision only serves to protect their bottom line by maximising Pre-orders and limiting critical content on their games at launch. This will be the test of not only the performance of Dishonored 2 on PC, but also a test of Bethesda's new review policy. Can Bethesda be trusted to release high quality, bug-free games on launch day?
For this game, we will be using the newest drivers that were available when the game released, which is Nvidia's Game Ready Geforce 375.76 driver and AMD's 16.11.3 driver, both of which are the most recent GPU drivers for either company.
Today we will be testing Dishonored 2 with our usual X99 test rig and a GTX 1080 Founders Edition
