Dark Souls: Remastered PC Performance Review

1080p Benchmarks

Dark Souls: Remastered posed no challenge to our PC hardware at 1080p, running at a perfect 60FPS on our R9 380 and GTX 960 graphics cards. These performance levels make sense, as Dark Souls: Remastered is designed to run at 60FPS, as it would otherwise lower the game speed and run in slow motion, which would be a huge problem for gamers as all of these graphics cards exceed the remaster's PC system requirements.

PC gamers can afford to use hardware that is a lot less powerful than this to run Dark Souls Remastered at 1080p 60FPS, as will be shown with our 1440p testing.

I don't get the fascination with the DS series, There's no real story and it's immensely difficult.Quote

Some people enjoy the exploration aspects and the fact that it doesn't lead you by the hand down a pre-determined path.

In many ways, the game is like Legend of Zelda, though the story isn't told as well and the difficulty is cranked up to insane levels.Quote

There's a weak plot and some interesting quests related to NPCs. The lore is the big part of the game, not the plot itself. Moreover, the difficulty of the game is HIGHLY overrated. It's not a hard game, it just takes some time to get into the mechanics. On the other hand, DS1 PvP kinda sucks
