Civilization VI PC Performance Review

1080p Performance

Sadly Civilization VI's new DirectX 12 version does not offer any performance increases over DirectX 11, lowering the game's minimum and average framerates in systems using both AMD and Nvidia GPUs.

It is worth noting that performance loss is lower on our AMD powered system, but it is still a new performance loss when moving from DirectX 11 to DirectX 12.

Impressive all around though. Improved DX11 massively and introduced DX12 at the same time. DX12 is in beta, but it's only going to get better. So good job to them on that.

Performance from the 960 and 380 is still very impressive and shows how good this optimization is.Quote
