When it comes to choosing memory one of the main things that us enthusiasts look for is good aesthetics, yes those who want to be on the cutting edge of the performance spectrum can look at the highest end 3600MHz+ DDR4 kits, but if you are using blue memory on a red motherboard your system is not going to look nice.

Klevv is a relative newcomer to the memory market, but when we first saw what they were made of we simply knew that they were destined for greatness. From the earliest models that we could purchase in the EU we could see that the other premium looking memory kits like Corsair's Dominator Platinum memory finally had some competition in the looks department, providing us with pure class, rather than the uber gamer look that is all too common on PC components.

Like all good ranges of memory the Klevv Cras range of memory is available in a wide range of capacities and  is available in both RED and white LED variants, giving you a great selection to suit your specific colour scheme, budget and capacity requirements.

As you may see along the top of the memory there is an acrylic strip along the top of the memory, which is illuminated by either RED or white LEDs depending on which kit you buy. Klevv's Cras memory kits are available in 2x4GB, 4x4GB, 2x8GB and 4x8GB variants at speeds of 2133MHz, 2666MHz, 2800Mhz, 3000MHz and 3200MHz, all of which offer a lifetime warranty.

In our test system we can see that the white illumination looks very good in our Skylake system, with the dark DIMM making a nice contrast to it's white LEDs and the white ASUS Sabertooth Z170-S motherboard.

Conclusion

With Klevv's CRAS memory kits the main selling point is their fantastic build quality and the pure sex appeal of it's aesthetics, offering a look that is classy and not gamerified like many other memory kits on the market.

When it comes to naming the best looking DDR4 Klevv is definitely up at the top alongside Corsair's Dominator platinum range, offering a build quality and aesthetic which is much greater than what we would normally expect.  With Klevv we can see a very bright future, offering a product that not only offers great looks but is also available with high memory speeds and excellent performance, exactly what we would expect from a memory kit that looks this good.

If you want a PC to look more professional than gamer this kit is for you, being available at both the lower and higher end of the DDR4 speed and capacity spectrum, offering kits that relatively low end to those that were in the high end. Not many memory ranges offer speed differences of 2133MHz all the way up to 3200Mhz, but Klevv does and backs them all up with the same lifetime warranty.

With these Klev Cras memory kits there is very little to be unimpressed about, really changing our expectations of what high quality kit of RAM should be and for that reason we will be giving Klevv's CRAS memory range the OC3D Innovation Award.

To be fair, a lot of people seem to like what Avexir do and I'll admit not all their dimms look horrible. Their motherboard-matching sets were a brilliant move.

It's like MSI with their RGB dragons. To me it looks horrendous, but it sells and makes them a profit and that is the main focus of any business after all.Quote

Hmm, not sure if putting dragons all over everything has helped MSI sell tbh. It's certainly had the very opposite effect on me.Quote
