Steelseries Rival 700 Gaming Mouse Review

Software

The Steelseries Engine 3 software is extremely powerful. It has all the main features that you might expect from a modern gaming software suite. If you really want to take your customisation to the next level then the Rival 700 OLED display supports 128x36px gifs, and these can be triggered by in game events as well as just showing off your clan logo or, well anything you can think of that a screen can display. Just imagine in a few years we will end up with colour OLED ones as the technology becomes more affordable. It's still good enough for anything your imagination can conjure, including count down timers with vibration feedback at the end of the, resetable, timer.

Behind the main Rival 700 elements is the Steelseries Game Sense technology which will change the mouse dependant upon in game events. The combination of reactive lighting and the tactile feedback vibrations really enhance your gaming experience. If you've ever found yourself blinded by a flashbang and desperate to know if you killed your foe with your last grenade, this can tell you. As with all these flashy technologies you need to spend a little bit of time acquainting yourself with it to get the most out of it, but it is worth spending the time, particularly as you've spent the money. We never understand having something with a wealth of features and ignoring half of them.

Well i had this for 2 days, and believe or not - the price of it isnt worthy - My daily runners ar Steelseries Rival and Razer Lachesis 5600, and can tell my opinion. Razer is shlagg - Rival is pretty much the same as Rival 700 for FPS comparedQuote

Thing is with mice nowadays. It seems they need to be in odd shapses, colours and all other kinda of weird looking things. I used a mamba for many years and was rather pleasing. No gimmick, just software and a awesome mice. No using the deathadder chroma but doesnt come close to the mamba.

Keep a mice a mice, industrieel looks. plane and simpel.Quote
