Roccat Sense Surface
If you've ever brought a cloth mat and spent the next month borrowing heavy books from the library in an attempt to flatten it out from the tube roll it came in, you'll appreciate the "flat already" nature of the Sense packaging. We certainly do. It's bad enough that most cloth mats curl at the corner eventually anyway, without having them curled before you begin.
Out of the box we have a long USB cable which provides the power, the lighting toggle built into the power receptor, and a large, beautifully coated surface upon which to go smiting our enemies.
On the underside we have a heavily textured coating keeping the Sense Surface fully in place no matter how much you push against it. Of course it works with any mouse, but the lightness of the Kone Pure Ultra means you have absolutely no chance at all of moving the mat during play.
The lighting is somewhat of a mixed bag. This top photo is supposed to be blue on the right and red on the left, whereas it appears more like two purples. However, going all one colour - as in the bottom picture - meets with greater success.

I've had the Kone Pure (laser) and the Kone Pure Military Optical (my favourite)
Glad they've gone back to and stuck with optical, I was thinking about picking a new one upQuote
Mouse looks nice though.Quote
