Introduction and Technical Specifications

Introduction
The Gaming keyboard market is getting to be nearly as saturated as the gaming mouse one. With the ability to just pull some quality parts off the shelf - in the same vein as a Avago sensor and Omron switches are for mice - it means that any company can be guaranteed to hit the ground running with the minimum of development time and/or money.
As with all heavily populated areas of the market this does mean that it takes something very special indeed to stand out amongst the competing models, particularly when your brand name might not be as instantly recognisable to the man in the street as some of the titans of the genre.
QPAD have had some mixed results from the products we've reviewed so far. Generally, if you twisted our arm and demanded we make broad generalisations, we'd say that their middle-range products have met with greater success than their attempts to conquer the high-end sector.
Speaking of high-end sectors, the MK-90 RGB is QPAD's top of the range keyboard with a MSRP of €170. Does it live up to this lofty billing?
Technical Specifications
Certainly the specifications of the MK90 tick every box imaginable. Full spectrum LEDs, multiple lighting options, media keys, USB through ports and full NK rollover. On paper at least this should be a stunner.
There is a small element to this specification table that you might not notice at first. Let's move on to the photographs and see if it becomes clearer.
