Cherry B.Unlimited Wireless Desktop 3.0 Review

Introduction

Cherry are so famous for their switches that form the basis of nearly every mechanical keyboard on the market that it is easy to forget that they produce peripherals themselves.

We were just sorting out the order of reviews for the next batch of products and trying to make room to fit in the AMD Threadripper when a parcel arrived in the office from Cherry. Given how much we love their switches we got straight down to it and discovered something different to that which you might expect.

With such enormous fame from their mechanical switches it is a tiny bit of a surprise to find the Cherry B.Unlimited 3.0 Wireless Desktop is based around the scissors switch style keys. However, as we all need to start somewhere this could be the perfect opportunity to transition from a laptop to a desktop and, if that is your plan, then a keyboard which apes the design you're used to might be just the thing you're after.

Technical Specifications

The B.Unlimited is a wireless keyboard and mouse that connects via a USB receiver. Pre-charged so you can be up and running straight away, it charges via USB rather than the old "find me a couple of AA batteries quickly" style that earlier wireless arrangements required. Simplicity is the watchword here.
