PNY GTX580 Liquid Cooled Review

Dirt 3

The engine behind Dirt 3 is so well optimised that the PNY has no difficulties even with all the settings up to the stops. This does mean that our overclock has less benefit, but when you're dealing with frame rates this high there isn't a cause for complaint.

Mafia 2

As we move back into the Tommy Gun world of Mafia 2 the PNY has much more to do and the overclock really comes into its own, boosting the frame rate from just above 80 to just shy of 100. All this without the card ever getting warm.

Some really great temperatures, but from what I've read on other sources, the fan does not sufficiently cool the other parts of the card. Did you encounter this problem?Quote

It does get warm, but not beyond any recomended levels. The card fan does stay on a lower speed because the GPU core is so cool.Quote

I can't see why people on the YT vid are saying this is useless? More surface area = better cooling = silence. I would love to get my hands on one of these if i had the money.Quote

nice card - nice benches

some people are going to have a nightmare with this card

those who:

  • had a large cpu cooler (D14, etc) in the case (especially when in a mid-tower)

  • have another sealed-WC solution in their case

i have also noticed SLI - two, or more, of these in SLI !!! Hmmm? not going to work !!!Quote
