Control Options and Gameplay
One of the biggest differences between Paragon and most other MOBA titles is the ability to play this game with either a controller or a Mouse and Keyboard, with both control methods being equally viable when playing the game.
Below is a quote from the developers of Paragon, stating that some of their top players internally play with controllers and others use mouse and Keyboard, and having now played the game myself I can agree with the developers and say that neither option game me as a play any real advantage or disadvantage in game.
The pace of Paragon is not frantic like a typical third-person action shooter, and that’s intentional. We want to give players room to think strategically, to be careful about how they play, and to understand the action as it happens. In Paragon, it’s not entirely about twitch-based controls or that no-scope sniper headshot, so that levels the field a bit to start. And of course, the goal is to tune the controls in such a way that you should see no discernible difference — a skilled player on a controller will be able to hold her own against a skilled player using a keyboard/mouse. Some of our top players internally are using controllers against others who are using keyboard/mouse.
Below are the controls for the game when using a console style controller. Sadly the game only gives me PlayStation button prompts at the time of writing, rather than Xbox Inputs that a lot of PC gamers will be used too. This game has full support of the PS4's dualshock controllers and X-input controllers that are based on the popular Xbox 360 pad.

The Mouse and keyboard controls are a lot more similar to what PC gamers will be used to with traditional shooter style games, though the controls here can be remapped to anything that the user wishes, which is a great feature to have this early in the games development.
