Test Setup, Overclocking and Temps

Palit GTX780Ti Jetstream Review

Test Setup

Palit GTX780Ti Jetstream
Intel Core i7-3960X @ 4.6GHz
ASUS Rampage IV Extreme
Corsair Dominator Platinum
Corsair AX1200i
Corsair Neutron GTX
Corsair H100i
Windows 7 x64

Overclocking

We were very hopeful that the many bells and whistles on the Palit Jetstream version of the GTX780Ti would enable it to overclock even further than the reference card we tested recently. It just about does on the boost (by 13MHz) but the memory is 50MHz less than we obtained on the reference nVidia card. So it's in the ball park, just not blowing us away.

Temperatures

The temperatures aren't vastly improved either. It's as quiet as the stock card, despite tripling the amount of fans, but because of the way that the GPU Boost works it's not significantly cooler. With the fans on 100%, something we wouldn't recommend unless you're deaf, the load temperature dropped right down to 51°C, which is hugely impressive.

You may need a 4K-Res. Display for the next Generation of Graphics Cards to see if they can handle the next step of evolution ;-) ^^ :-DQuote

Yeah like I can afford 4K, I wish. There will only be like 1% of these forums that get 4K in the next year.Quote

Hmm just reading through this review,

You're getting over 60 fps with a 7970 at 1080, why am I only getting 21 at 1080 on my build? (Arkham Origins).Quote
