Metro Exodus - With Ray Tracing and DLSS Testing

Nvidia RTX 3080 Founders Edition Review

Metro Exodus

Along with Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Control, Metro Exodus is one of a triumvirate of games in our test suite that takes full advantage today's DXR (DirectX Raytracing) compatible hardware.

With Ray Tracing and DLSS support along with 4A Games' famed gritty, post-apocalyptic aesthetic, it is a great title with which to flex the power of all new graphics hardware. The first graph is all resolutions in 'plain' mode. The second graph with Ray Tracing on, and the third graph with Ray Tracing and DLSS on and off for performance impact demonstration purposes.

Note - DLSS with Ray Tracing disabled doesn't work on the current driver with the current game build, so the results are blank. This is a common problem with Pre-DLSS 2.0 implementations of Deep Learning Super Sampling.

A question.

What sort of overclock does the 2080Ti you are using have?

Edit. Sorry I see it's not overclocked.Quote

I would think its stock. Would expect it to be labelled OC if anything. Those are some impressive numbers. Lets hope I maintain my good deal 3090 now Quote

In shadow of tomb raider 4k max ray tracing no dlss, why does 3080 oc have double the framerate of 3080 non oc? Typo?Quote

It's about what I expected, Not very impressive to be honest considering the 2 year gap since the last big Nvidia launch.Quote
