Need For Speed PC Performance Review

4K Testing with AMD R9 Fury X and Nvidia GTX 980Ti

Moving up to 4K we see both GPUs finally having difficulty when running this game, though that does not mean that we get anything other than playable performance, with both GPUs never going below 30FPS during out benchmarking runs.

AMD and Nvidia have almost equal performance at 4K, making both GPU makers equally viable options at this resolution, but neither GPU is able to maintain an average framerate of over 60FPS, even at low settings.

When considering that this game is limited to 30FPS on consoles it is great to see that PC gamers will be able to easily achieve better performance at a resolution of 4K on today's flagship GPUs.

Im running a Gtx 960 and im happy to say i get fairly good fps on 1920x1080 on high. I did set it to ultra just to see what would happen....... and i did have a few problems. directX error caused the game to lock up and it disconnecting my gpu from my mobo. Just goes to show how hubgry this game is. My car also seemed to be changing colour from green to black. I reset and jumped back in and put it down to high, no screen tearing, no lag Quote
