1440p Testing with AMD R9 Fury X and Nvidia GTX 980Ti

Moving up to 1440p we continue to see some great results from both GPU manufacturers, with both being able to maintain framerates of over 60FPS at all times, even at Ultra settings.

At this resolution AMD and Nvidia have much closer performance, but Nvidia still maintains the advantage with both higher Minimum and average framerates at all settings.

With the ability to maintain framerates of over 60FPS with the R9 Fury X and GTX 980Ti this game seems to be a great match for the many 144Hz 1440p FreeSync or G-Sync monitors on the market, especially at the lower settings where we are able to get over 100FPS.

Im running a Gtx 960 and im happy to say i get fairly good fps on 1920x1080 on high. I did set it to ultra just to see what would happen....... and i did have a few problems. directX error caused the game to lock up and it disconnecting my gpu from my mobo. Just goes to show how hubgry this game is. My car also seemed to be changing colour from green to black. I reset and jumped back in and put it down to high, no screen tearing, no lag Quote
