Introduction
MicroStar International have completely eliminated their old positioning in the market as the value choice. Such has been the company's turn around that anyone who has come to PC Hardware in the last few years will only think of them in the same breath as ASUS RoG brand or similarly lofty excellence.
When we looked at the R9 390X last week we had our first look at the Twin Frozr V and found it to be an outstanding evolution of the always excellent Twin Frozr cooler. Adding it to the equally brilliant GTX980Ti and we certainly have a recipe for one of the fastest cards we've ever tested.
If you're reading this review then you know exactly what the GTX980Ti has to offer so we wont ramble on any longer and just get straight into the nitty gritty of how the MSI Gaming performs -edit- This review was completed just before we got our Fury X sample, so the Fury is not featured in these graphs for that reason only.
Technical Specifications
The stock 980Ti runs at 1000/1076, so the Gaming's speeds of 1178/1279 should give us a serious lift in performance when it comes to plug and forget usage. Given the outstanding nature of the nVidia GPU Boost 2.0 technology there is almost no need to manually overclock these days. It'll be interesting to see how much overhead the Twin Frozr V gives the drivers.

Either that or the KFA2 HOF LN2 Edition, which is seriously tempting me (really depends on a waterblock being made for it, EK plz).Quote
