EVGA RTX 2060 XC Ultra Review

Introduction

EVGA have been a stalwart of the graphics card world for as long as we can remember. Largely consisting of FTW models, as time has passed so the idea of "for the win" has grown somewhat passé and thus the latest entry into their suite of GPUs is the RTX 2060 XC Ultra.

There are three different models of the RTX 2060 in the EVGA range, but we know that you, like us, want the best possible performance and cooling on your card and are willing to pay a small price premium above a stock card to receive it. Thus when we were given the choice we knew we had to go all in on the XC Ultra so we could see the best that EVGA had to offer when it came to the RTX 2060, and particularly see how it compared to the ASUS Strix we've recently been wowed by.

The RTX 2060 is designed to produce 60 FPS+ gaming at 1080P, whilst also bringing the real-time ray-tracing and DLSS features that are such a part of the Turing GPU range to the party. How does the XC Ultra perform? Let's find out.

Technical Specifications

The two benefits of the XC Ultra over the other RTX 2060 cards in the EVGA range are the beefier cooler and stonking factory overclock, pushing the Turing GPU up to 1830 MHz. Of course we're going to push it further than that, but let's take a look at it before we get down to some performance figures.

Peace
Would've loved to see a graph for BFV with RT on and off to see if RT is even remotely possible with this card as I think it's not or at least not playable.

RushKit looks mighty fine already indeed!Quote

We are just waiting for BF V to level out, the updates have made such a huge difference so far its been difficult for us to graph without retesting. Just one game on one card takes us 30-40 minutesQuote
