ASUS RTX 2070 ROG Strix OC Review

Forza Horizon 4

The latest version of Playground’s excellent Forza Horizon series sees the Horizon Festival decamp to the UK. Unfortunately the developers didn’t bother to make the cars right-hand drive so it’s a little incongruous to play, but on the plus side they have optimised it extremely well for the PC. Everything to the stops, as befits such a gorgeous title.

Both overclocked MSI cards out perform the ASUS here, although the quality of the optimisation on the Forza Horizon engine is such that you'd have to drop down to the standard GTX 1060 before it became too jerky at 4K.

The price is definitely a breaker for this card...

What are the 1080Ti's prices at currently? I mean, it performs better if you're not that much into 4K, so the 1080Tis might be a better solution if you're in desperate need for an upgrade...Quote

A lot is saved by avoiding glass panels in your PC case.

The "ASUS Tax" is really becoming a thing this generation. There's always been a premium for their stuff and to a point you could argue it's worth it but this is getting ridiculous...Quote
