Here it is in all its glory. If you've spent any time at all browsing for graphics cards you'll have had a preconceived notion of what an ASUS ROG Matrix card looks like. That does mean that it requires some mental readjustment to get over the shock of the move away from the black and red design. Once you do though we think the Matrix looks spectacular. The ROG colour scheme has become ubiquitous and, by virtue of its success, lost some of its specialness. Now if anyone looks into your case there can be no doubt that you're running something at the very top of the available range.
This all hail to the orange ethos is continued onto the model name screen-printed to the backplate and the surround of the ROG logo itself on the side. More of that logo in our conclusion.
Power is provided by two 8pin PCIe inputs, and the business end of the card has all the outputs we've come to expect from nVidia. DVI, DisplayPort and the ever popular HDMI.
If one card looks gorgeous and two are seriously desirable then four have to whet the appetite of even the most jaded reader. It makes for some excellent graphics card porn shots. Just a shame we couldn't make use of them all.
