ASUS GTX980 Matrix SLI Review

Curiously for a cooler that has had so much tweaking and finessing the Matrix is one of the warmer GTX980s we've tested. It's by no means hot and there is still plenty of thermal headroom. The 80c in this graph was top the top card of our SLI set up, the lower card was 69c and a single GPU on its own in the same system was topping out at 67c. Its an SLI review so we are concentrating on the SLI results so its expected that the top card would be hotter.

Power Draw

Despite the huge amount of performance available, the Matrix continues the theme of the GTX980 being an extremely efficient card, barely sipping at your electricity. Heck it's only 80W more demanding in SLI than the GTX780Ti was on its own.
