Test Setup

MSI Z270 Gaming M7
Intel i7-7700K
Corsair LPX 3200MHz (stock XMP tests)
Corsair LPX 4266MHz
Corsair MP500 M.2
Samsung 960 Evo M.2
Corsair HX1000i
Corsair H110i GT
Corsair ML Fans

With the 121 BIOS the board arrived with 4000MHZ was achievable via XMP and we are glad we checked because with the latest 123 BIOS sent to us direct from MSI HQ it wasn't. Not even with manual volts. Sadly neither of these BIOS revisions are available to the public yet and this will be the latest time we test with a BIOS that can not be found on any of the manufacturer websites.

On the 123 BIOS we did have to drop back to a 3866MHz memory kit but thankfully this did also mean a 5.1GHz clock on the CPU meaning this could be an interesting on in the graphs.
