Overclocking

We have three different CPU-Zs to show you, demonstrating the flexibility of the MSI M7. Should you want to commit to having the fastest DDR4 speeds available then the M7 managed to push our DDR4 kit all the way up to 3800 MHz. An amazing amount of speed and showing how AMD have overcome one of the biggest weak links in the original Zen launch.

MSI X470 Gaming M7 AC Review

For our overclocked testing we're combining the 3200 MHz DDR4 with 4.275 GHz on the Ryzen 7 2700X. This is a very meaty combination that should give us some eye-opening scores in our benchmark suite. It takes a little bit of voltage to achieve this, so make sure you have good cooling installed and don't rely upon the Wraith Prism cooler.

MSI X470 Gaming M7 AC Review

If you're one of those people who want nothing more than the absolute fastest overclock regardless of its 24/7 stability then the MSI Gaming M7 certainly will cause much appreciative nodding with its 4.475 GHz overclock. Hugely impressive and a good demonstration of what you can hope to achieve at the top end.

I'm going to disagree with you on the looks, I like the look of this board, see what you mean by VRM temps not even worth the worry.
For the difference in price I'd go with the Crosshair because of the extra usb on the backQuote

Remove the "Gaming" and the "dragon" and I'd go for this one. Are these etched in or could they be removed without spraying the whole block.Quote
