It's nice to have an i3 that can be overclocked, particularly one that will hit the dizzy heights of 5 GHz although compared with the i5 and i7 retails chips it did require a little more volts to get it there. When playing with the overclocks it did 'feel' like it wanted to give us more too but even with volts increased to 1.4 we couldnt even get a 5.1GHz screenshot so we stuck with a nice round 5GHz with 1.35v. There is no doubt that the i3 7350K despite its fairly big price tag, can reward you with some fun and games. Even the IMC isn't short of some grunt under the hood, pushing our DDR4 close to the 4000 MHz barrier and we have a feeling that this was a board limitation rather than the silicone itself

A tasty K series hyperthreaded i3 (Pentium) fantastic move forward for Intel but that price though.. I'd be more inclined to look at an older i5 if I'm honest.

Anyways great review as always Guv and also a shout out to JayzTwoCents R.I.P AMD 8320 .Quote

It will be the best chip for those guys who only want to game AAA but 1080p plain and simple.

Now let's see how well AMD slaps intel in the face with the 4core Zens

Actually isn't the particular model of gigabyte model's one of the worst on the 990fx chipset for overclocking? Also who pushes an fx chip beyond 1.5Volts on air (20$ air cooler even) and with maxed out load line calibration.
I don't even let my fx chip hit above 55C on the package to begin with... Also at 1.5+Volts the vrms get super hot but... I digress...Quote

Not a bad cpu for an i3, though like you said in the conclusion the price is a bit too close to the 7600k that I'd consider the extra as a better future investmentQuote

I think you can get similar performance with the Pentium 2 core 4 thread and much cheaperQuote
