Starting off with the always reliable AIDA64 and the results go very much how you would expect them to. The faster the CPU the better the results, and the same applies to the memory.

Out of the box, in unfettled trim, the i7-5820K is anything but impressive, finding itself below all of the CPUs likely to be on your shortlist. The overclock helps, a bit.
