Gigabyte Z270X Gaming 7 Review

Possibly our favourite feature of the Gaming 7 is in this top image. Anyone who has used an RGB lighting strip will know that getting a pure white is probably the hardest thing to do. Whilst you can make white by combining all the colours, the reality is that a lot of RGB strips end up slightly blue. Gigabyte have equipped the Gaming 7 with five pin RGB headers allowing the inclusion of the pure white channel, thus eliminating this blue colour cast whilst still allowing you to go for all the colours should you wish to do so.
The Gaming 7 also has plenty of storage connectors. Six SATA that also allow for SATA Express sit alongside a U.2 connector. Behind those there is a full length M.2 connector which can be combined, in RAID, with the other M.2 connector above the uppermost PCI Express slot. Add a veritable cornucopia of USB headers, fan headers, RGB Strip headers and the like and the Gaming 7 wont leave you struggling to maximise your connectivity options.
