Introduction
It's been an extremely busy festive period here at OC3D Towers and so, somewhat later than we had either hoped or planned, it's time to take a look at the ASUS Z370i Strix Gaming.
We know you're as eager to see the results as we are to bring them to you, so rather than get bogged down in a lengthy preamble let's get straight down to business. It's a Z370 motherboard, the flexible affordable option of the two major Intel chipsets, under the excellent ASUS Strix umbrella but in an affordable and compact ITX specification.
Recent ITX motherboards have been far better performers than their forebears, so let's find out if the ASUS Strix continues the trend.
Technical Specifications
Despite the diminutive form factor ASUS Have managed to squeeze and awful lot on the Strix ITX PCB. From the features we've come to expect such as the SupremeFX audio, AC WiFi and GameFirst LAN, there are a few that we're pleased to see have made the journey from their ATX motherboards, including dual M.2 ports, dedicated water pump headers and even a USB 3.1 front panel connector. It might be small but you're not lacking for connectivity.

Exactly the right question Tom. Why aren't there more ITX builds? Few generations back now ITX boards don't lack in performance, yet the builds are still ATX. Apart from my system every other that i have seen in person has only GPU in it, and no one is even considering ITX, or mATX. Also there aren't many systembuilders that are forcing ITX.

There would be far more ITX builds if SSD storage had matured to very large drives and being affordable. The reason I do not have ITX is because for the 4tb of storage I have it would cost me more than I paid for the entire rig. Now I know you can have a NAS etc but that all just adds extra expense.
