ASUS Z370 Strix E and Strix F Review

Test Setup, Overclocking and Voltage Droop

ASUS Z370 Strix E and Strix F Review

Test Setup

ASUS Z370 Strix E and Strix F
Intel Core i7-8700X
Corsair ROG Dominator Platinum 3200 - Stock Tests
G.Skill Trident-Z 3600 - OC Tests
Corsair RM1000i
Corsair MP500 512GB
Corsair H110i GT
Windows 10

As you will see below there is a good reason why we're not running a batch of overclocking tests today. When the integrity of our process relies so heavily upon identical hardware the last thing we're willing to do is risk some of it because a manufacturer can't be bothered to fix how many volts are pumping through your test CPU. However, there clearly is some potential within the Strix as we reached the all important 5 GHz mark without too much strife beyond a sweaty brow and dry mouth.

Thank you Tom

This is why I come here and read your reviews and watch the videos. No Tarted up or wishy washy side stepping the issue. Strait talk and its what I need out of a review.

Thank you Sir!

Nice. This is the kind of stuff that gives some of my missing faith in humanity back; calling people on they need to be called on. Good job Tom.Quote
