Despite its small size the Z270G is no slouch when it comes to overclocking, pushing our i7-7700K up to and beyond the magical 5 GHz barrier, at a nice and gentle 1.35v. You could probably squeeze a little more out of it if you were willing to pump more volts through, but we always go for stable 24/7 overclocks here and 5.1 GHz with 4000 MHz DDR4 is plenty to be getting on with.
