Features

Although we've covered all the new elements on the X299 Prime Deluxe it doesn't hurt to give you a little more should you desire it. 802.11ad might be so new that almost none of us have routers which support it yet, but it's great to know that if you have a Prime at the heart of your new system you'll be future-proofed for a loooooooong while. The amount of things that could saturate 4.6 Gb/s of bandwidth we can count on one hand.

Thanks Tom! I admit I'm finding this the first good looking prime board (previously the plastic always looked a bit cheap and tacky to, but that's just me).Quote

Seconded on this being the best looking Prime Deluxe so far. I like the straight edges and think it overall quite elegant. That vertical M.2 mount looks humungous on camera though. Trip out to Aria or Scan to see it in the flesh if possible methinks. If it is too offensive and I do take the plunge then minor surgery.

No idea why anyone is writing X299 off. Wait till the scores are in, chaps; AMD could go all Theresa May on us yet still!Quote

People already know what to expect from X299. Threadripper is all new, and everyone is more interested in what AMD has to offer. It is to be expected X299 will not attract that much attention. I really like the looks. Looking forward for full review. When is NDA ending?Quote
