ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming Preview

Test Setup

Following on from our motherboard comparison with the 3rd Gen Ryzen CPUs it's time to just look at how each individual X570 motherboard fares.

AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
ASUS ROG X570 Strix-E
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
G.Skill Trident Z 3600 MHz
Corsair Vengeance RGB 4600 MHz
Corsair MP500 M.2 - OS Drive
Aorus PCIE4 NVME - Storage Speed Tests
Nvidia RTX 2080Ti
Corsair HX1000i
Corsair H150i
Corsair ML Fans

As you would expect to find from any ROG branded product the Strix-E is more than capable of pushing the Ryzen 9 3900X to it's limits, which in this case is a 4.4 GHz overclock across all twelve cores and we also managed a 100% stable 4400MHz on the memory! In all of out testing thus far performance increases tail off beyond 4000MHz with memory but nevertheless 4400MHz is still a crazy speed o be achieving benchmark stable.
