ASUS ProArt Z690 Creator WiFi review

ASUS ProArt Z690 Creator WiFi review

Introduction

We know what you’re thinking. “A Z690 review, this late in the day? What are OC3D doing?”. Well, dear reader, all will soon be revealed. But in the meantime let’s take a look at an ASUS Z690 motherboard we haven’t yet reviewed in the form of their ProArt Z690 Creator WiFi which comes with a 5 year warranty but you have to be sure you take an extra step to sign up for the extension  here on their website. You can also get an adobe creative cloud membership wrth almost £150, you have to sign up for this too: Asus Adobe Creative Cloud.

The ASUS ProArt range is their suite that is more designed towards those of you who utilise your talents in areas other than gaming, and often come with a carefully chosen set of components that differs from the usual “stick all the RGB on it” ethos that applies to many gaming focused motherboards.

This particular model also has some interesting choices in the heatsink side of things and the full set of Z690 high bandwidth options including PCI Express 5.0, DDR5 and all of the USB ports you could hope to find. It’s in the middle of the ASUS price range so the natural question is, does this perform in a similar manner to the many Z690 motherboards around and is there enough on the ProArt Creator WiFi itself to tempt you away from the Strix and similar product ranges?

There is only one way to find out, so grab your favourite iced beverage on this horrendously warm July day, and let’s get down to business.
