ASUS Maximus VII Hero Preview

PC Mark

Sometimes you come across a product which tests well in a handful of things but doesn't look great in others. So far the Maximus VII Hero has been brilliant but things change somewhat in PC Mark. In PC Mark Vantage there is a clear gap between MSI MPOWER and the two ASUS boards. Whether this is a side-effect of the general ASUS design only further reviews of the various Z97 motherboards will tell.  PC Mark 7 brings the three Z97s much closer together with the Hero just edges to the top of the graph.

Love it, Thank you so much for the review Tom. I have mine and am starting on the build. I really hope you get to M.2 reviews soon. The thought of a self contained bootable system that performs great is a big one for me. After seeing this review, I need to buy some better memory than I have to do this board justice.Quote
