ASUS Maximus V Formula ThunderFX Review

ASUS Maximus V Formula Review

In the AIDA64 CPU benchmarks the Formula performs very well at both the overclocked and stock settings. Despite the Extreme managing a higher overclock there is very little to choose between them. Although such is the quality of the Z77 chipset that there isn't much to choose between any of the motherboards we've tested.

One area the ASUS Maximus V is clearly ahead of the rest of the pack is in the Memory bandwidth testing. The Extreme just shades the Formula, but they're both topping the charts.
